The Glory of Bastige
The Steeples Quarter
The Steeples Quarter is the westernmost Quarter of Bastige and home to two of the city’s strongest Institutions, The Municipal Courts and Bureaucracies of The City and Province of Bastige (commonly just referred to as The City ) and the Church of Azrelia, whom attend the folk and manage the worship of the patron Goddess of Bastige. In addition to those two institutions, a flourishing market, trade, and leisure district as well as a dense collection of other churches, shrines, temples, and pagodas to the many gods and goddesses of the world can be found within the district.
Historically the district has been home to all the churches and basilicas of Bastige, but with the events of the last two hundred years continuing to riple through the city, many old religious buildings have become abandoned. Thankfully for fans of architecture, The City and traders have moved right in and set up shop, helping to keep the grand and classical architecture of many generations and cultures alive and well within the city.
